Astrakhan State University Honours Scientific Grant Holders

An event for those who achieved outstanding results in 2019, was organized by the ASU Directorate of Research & Innovative Activities. On the threshold of the Russian Science Day, the professors were thanked for their contribution to the development of the university, region and country.

First Vice-Rector — Vice-Rector for Strategic Development Elina Polyanskaya congratulated the guests on the upcoming occasion.

“People who dedicate themselves to science are unique. I’m really glad that so talented scientists work at our university. Your research projects have great prospects, they are acknowledged at the national and international levels, and I’m happy to have this opportunity to cooperate with you,” said Elina Polyanskaya, addressing her colleagues.

In 2019, candidates of sciences, associate professors and full professors of Astrakhan State University won grants of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, Russian Scientific Foundation, Presidential Grant Foundation, Russian Geographical Society and Russian-German Programme “Mikhail Lomonosov”. Grant support covered works in biology, geography, culturology, linguistics, robotic engineering, sociology, physics, philosophy, chemistry and economics. From 2017 to 2019, ASU researchers also participated in fulfilment of state tasks of the federal Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
