ASU and UNEC RESH Agree on Double Degree and Exchange Programmes
A respective decision was made within the framework of the agreement on cooperation between Astrakhan State University and the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), signed in February 2020.

The Russian Economic School (UNEC RESH) was established in 2016 at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics for integration into the Russian-speaking educational space and recruitment of international Russian-speaking students. The consolidation of all economic programmes in Russian at one faculty of UNEC is of great importance for improvement of the level of education in Russian, management development, further integration between majors and enhancement of the mobility of students and teaching staff.
“Astrakhan State University meets all the prerequisites for establishment of fruitful cooperation with the Azerbaijan university. Our students have been learning Azerbaijani, and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has been an Honorary Professor of ASU since 2016,” says Oksana Mineva, Professor of the Faculty of Economy & Management and the Head of the Caspian SEC Project Office. During the visit of the ASU delegation to Baku in February 2020, the parties agreed on joint work in developing a double Bachelor’s degree programme in management and a launch of an academic exchange programme for teaching staff and students.
Besides, the Azerbaijan State University of Economics expressed their readiness to become a partner of the initiative of Astrakhan State University on establishment of the Caspian SEC.
