ASU First-Year Student Wins Competition „I Am Professional“

It is the first time student of the Faculty of Philology & Journalism Nikolay Rogulin has taken part in the all-Russia educational competition. And he won gold at once! The student scored 99 out of 100 in the category „Bachelor’s degree“ in the major „Journalism“.

In order to pass the selection stage, Nikolay Rogulin prepared an information material on the topic of the struggle against banned substances promotion in Astrakhan.

Besides, the student created a series of photos of an Astrakhan hotel for the off-site stage of the competition, thus showing his photography skills to the jury.

At the final stage, which took place at ASU, the participants were to analyze statistical data and use them to write an article on a given topic. Having been given three topics to choose, Nikolay Rogulin opted for the statistics of marriages and divorces.

Nikolay Rogulin says he’ll be pleased to take part in next seasons of the competition „I Am Professional“.

„Having ranked so high, I became more motivated to try my strength further“, says the student.
