ASU Scientists Present Their Developments to Skolkovo Experts

A pitch session with experts of the modern scientific and technological innovative complex for development and commercialization of new technologies has been held today, on May 19. Students, teachers and administrative staff of Astrakhan State University presented their own scientific projects and got advice from the leading experts of the sector.

Different innovative developments of the ASU Institute of Physics & Mathematics were presented to the experts via videoconferencing: “Robotic platform for vegetable harvesting”, “Collaborative warehouse rectangular on omniwheels”, “VR application for teaching astronomy”, “Laser cloth cutting machine”, “Submersible remote controlled robot for conducting research”, “Smart IoTelectric meter for energy sector enterprises and for retail”. Each presentation was to reflect the issue solved by the project, the technologies applied in the device and potential consumers of the product. Besides, the pitch session participants were to tell the experts about their professional achievements, team competence, to draw a plan of commercialization of their development and to assess the target market.

After the project presentation, the experts made questions on introduction of the product to the market and its prospects, and about developers’ professional experience. The Skolkovo representatives also assessed the novelty and relevance of the projects.

The students and teachers of Astrakhan State University coped with the tasks successfully and got recommendations on further improvement of their initiatives.
