Astrakhan State University Can Help Students with Employment

One of the issues discussed during the online meeting of ASU Rector Konstantin Markelov with the student activists on May 21 was assistance in graduates’ job search during the pandemic. Now the university and the regional Employment Agency are developing a project “Student Employment Office”.

“We are considering different supportive measures; in particular, we will offer vacancies in the region, we will tell you about all the structural units both of ASU and of our partners — companies that need students’ help, in particular in summer. So, you will have good chance to make money, including for your tuition and accommodation”, stressed Konstantin Markelov.

The issue of students’ employment was also discussed during a videoconference meeting on the situation in education under COVID-19 conditions, held by RF President Vladimir Putin. At the meeting, RF Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov noted that the government is working out a set of measures, aimed at facilitating students’ employment.

It should be recalled that currently more than 140 students work for Astrakhan State University in different sectors. ASU provides an opportunity to gain practical experience and study at the same time. These are young scientists, journalists, managers, programmers, engineers and translators, working for their alma mater.
