Konstantin Markelov Met with D. Mendeleev University Rector Aleksandr Mazhuga
The universities have initiated cooperation this winter, having signed a partnership agreement during the meeting of Astrakhan Governor Igor Babushkin with representatives of D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia.
The heads of the universities discussed the agreement implementation, in particular a detailed programme on student and teaching staff mobility in chemistry.
Besides, the colleagues talked about establishment of Mendeleev classrooms in Astrakhan and chose base schools for the project implementation this year. Attendees of such classrooms will have in-depth studies of chemistry and will get the opportunity to attend classes at ASU and D. Mendeleev University and be enrolled at these universities in the future.
Other topics for discussion were coordination of activities at international platforms, mutual support of applications for the strategic academic leadership programme competition and participation of ASU in the universal platform “Mendeleev Valley”.
It should be recalled that the Chemical Faculty of Astrakhan State University is launching a new Bachelor’s degree engineering programme “Polymer Technology & Processing” for the 2020/2021 academic year which will be implemented within programme “Chemistry” in a networking cooperation with D. Mendeleev University.
