Astrakhan State University Writes Victory Dictation
The all-Russia historical event, dedicated to the Great Patriotic War, is aimed at drawing general public’s attention to the war history and improving historical literacy of the population.
The dictation involved about 80 students of the humanitarian faculties of the university — the Historical Faculty, Law Faculty, Faculty of Social Communications and Faculty of Philology & Journalism. ASU Rector Konstantin Markelov also supported the campaign.
The ASU rector wished for all the dictation participants to cope with stress, show decent results, and, ideally, to enter the top list to be acknowledged at the all-Russia level.
Chairman of the Russian Historical Society Sergey Naryshkin and veterans of the Great Patriotic War greeted the participants from the Central Great Patriotic War Museum via videoconferencing.
Commenting the event, Dean of the ASU Historical Faculty, Doctor of Historical Sciences Elena Timofeeva said that it was the second time the dictation had been held at our university.
As the participating students said, the tasks were rather interesting and not that difficult, the only thing to do was to remember some events, and reading the tasks carefully, one could even find small clues there.
